The roots of the foundation go back to 2006, when concert pianist Adam Gyorgy gave master classes in Asia. He experienced incredible musical talent in extreme conditions. As Adam received so much help in his young age, he decided to give back and create an institution for music education in his home country, Hungary, and invited many talented children from around the world to participate and learn.
He provided scholarships to these young pianists to support their education and invited musical mentors to the Academy to encourage and support the students’ musical development.
The Adam Gyorgy Castle Academy began in the summer of 2009, in Adam’s home town of Pomaz. A close knit community immediately took shape around the spirit of the Academy, recruiting more and more talented individuals, students, and professors to support Adam’s vision.
